Last Friday, 2 November 2018, the prevention price “Der Rote Ritter” (the red knight), which honours ideas and projects promoting road safety for children and adolescents, was awarded for the fifth time by the association “Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe e.V.” (help for children who are victims of accidents) in the Elbe Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg.
The Heidl family, as representatives of the company Soloplan, also attended the award ceremony. Soloplan does not want to miss the opportunity to support such a great project with a donation.
The association “Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe” focuses on the youngest road users. It supports a variety of road safety projects in order to protect children and adolescents on the roads. Another major goal of the association is to give children who have already suffered an accident new courage to live. For example, it supports play therapy facilities in hospitals and rehabilitation centres as well as horse riding therapies or adventure excursions.
The idea behind the award is to promote campaigns that ensure that children and adolescents are safer on the roads so that accidents can be avoided in the future. The “Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe” pays a total of 25,000 euros to the award winners in order for them to be able to continue their important work and to come a step closer to their goal of making Germany’s roads safer.
