Soloplan will gradually replace its vehicle fleet of around 40 company cars with electric or hybrid vehicles.
The first step towards that goal was taken on 18 July 2018 when Wolfgang Briechle, branch manager of the Fischer car dealer in Memmingen, handed over the keys for the new Ford Hybrid to Wolfgang Heidl, CEO of Soloplan. By using electric or hybrid vehicles, Soloplan aims, among other things, at reducing fleet costs. The hybrid vehicle consumes the least fuel if an average speed of 135 km/h is not exceeded on motorways. Those who go easy on the accelerator pedal can increase the use of the electric motor and thus reduce fuel consumption considerably.
Soloplan expects savings of around 20% in fuel costs. “The main reason we made this decision is to protect the environment and to underline our sustainable business strategy,” explains Wolfgang Heidl.
