Transport sector in Austria prepares for “advancement into the future”

Unreliable delivery chains, CO2 pricing, a lack of drivers or climate protection–the transport sector is currently facing great challenges. At the carrier’s specialist group conference in Upper Austria, Federal Chairman Günther Reder held a passionate speech advocating more appreciation for the transport industry.

Clear words on the current challenges, the presentation of the newest vehicle models and a strong display of solidarity between the Austrian carriers and the partners of the sector: The specialist group conference of the Upper-Austrian transport industry, which took place on the fairground in Wels on Saturday, was a complete success. Last Saturday, a total of about 400 representatives from the sector discussed and networked with each other and sponsors, exhibitors and suppliers. Soloplan, a reliable partner of the great number of medium-sized companies in the region, also took part in the annual meeting in Wels, which was organised by the Economic Chamber for Upper Austria.

With his emotional presentation “WE, the carriers! Our advancement into the future”, Günther Reder, who is a speaker of the industry association and, as CEO of the REDER Group, also an enthusiastic Soloplan customer, held a passionate presentation advocating more appreciation for the transport industry. The long applause and consistently positive feedback confirmed the core messages of the chairman, as did an online survey conducted afterwards with the members present. The negative image of the transport sector was, by a large margin, voted the greatest current challenge for the carriers.

In order to counter this development, the federal association of Austrian carriers introduced the “Friends on the road” campaign. With this nation-wide image campaign for the transport industry, the members are trying to create greater understanding for the necessity of transports by truck in the population: by means of road shows, events and other projects.

As a logistics software company, Soloplan also supports the industry and the association in their diverse activities. Thus, it is a given for the Kempten-based company to regularly visit events of the specialist group as a sponsor and supporter and thus emphasise the great importance of the logistics sector.

In many good conversations, the Soloplan team was able to talk to customers and partners and also have a sympathetic ear for their problems and challenges. This regular exchange in particular is what allows Soloplan to continually develop their TMS CarLo® and adapt to the constantly changing requirements of the sector.

We will also gladly visit you in person to present our TMS CarLo® to you. Simply contact us by e-mail (sales@soloplan.com) or by phone at +49 831 57407 300. We are looking forward to meeting you!
