Nowadays, smartphones or tablets with a telematics app are used in most cases. Special telematics devices are only rarely used.
Using telematics devices, telematics systems collect movement and vehicle-related data and transfer it to the company headquarters. That way, you can monitor and analyse the data in real time. Which data a telematics device can access depends on the hardware and the respective sensors.
CarLo inTOUCH is a function-oriented telematics solution and an add-on for our TMS CarLo. Tour creation, restriction tests for loading and delivery times, monitoring of the driving and rest times and many more processes are carried out in CarLo. In CarLo inTOUCH, the focus is set on the navigation and the operative tour handling. The combination of both systems allows for a direct data exchange, which is a great advantage.
No, CarLo inTOUCH uses the mobile device/tablet of your drivers as the telematics device. After the integration of the system in CarLo, you simply need to download the free app “CarLo inTOUCH”. That way, the mobile device becomes the telematics device. Additionally, the smartphone’s camera is simply used for scanning packages. That way, you do not need to buy new devices.
Another advantage is that the login and the temporary operation are also possible without an internet connection. We will gladly provide you with more detailed specifications and information regarding the supported devices.
