IATA

IATA

The abbreviation IATA stands for the International Air Transport Association. This organisation created the so-called IATA codes. With these abbreviations, a globally uniform and internationally recognised system was created that defines two- or three-digit codes for airports, airlines, aircraft types or railway stations. Example: MUC = Munich airport, HAM = Hamburg airport. Additionally, IATA published the waybill for air freight–the AWB (air waybill).

The air and sea freight software CarLo inAIR&SEA from Soloplan contains an import functionality for IATA codes.
