Mr Wolfgang Heidl completed his training as a forwarding merchant with an international forwarding group. After successfully completing his training, he worked there for seven years, most recently as a forwarding manager. His studies at the DAV were followed by five years of employment as an authorised signatory in a medium-sized freight forwarding company in Berlin.
In 1986, he switched to the IT industry. There, he worked first as a sales employee, then as a consultant, and finally as Assistant to the Management until 1991. In 1992, he ventured into self-employment in the software development department of a renowned German publishing house.
In 1994, he founded Soloplan GmbH as managing partner. The company now has approx. 150 employees at its headquarters in Kempten and approx. 60 employees in other branches in Germany, France, Poland and South Africa.
In 2020, Wolfgang Heidl became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
