Goods

The term goods describes active objects of commerce. In contrast to services, goods are material commodities. Goods are defined as moveable economic goods that are available in a limited quantity in nature or are manufactured technically and serve to satisfy certain needs.

In logistics, goods refer to goods stored in the corresponding loading unit (pallet, mesh box) on the corresponding means of transport (truck, vessel, airplane). Thus, the process is also called goods transport.
