EU Community Licence

The EU community licence (EU licence/EC licence) entitles the holder to engage in commercial, cross-border goods transport within the European Union. It is therefore one of the most important documents for transport companies operating throughout Europe.

The EU Community Licence is issued by the transport authority of the corresponding EU member state for transport companies from the EU for a period of 10 years, and can be extended upon application. Provided that the company meets the requirements and all documents (in Germany: extract from the  Register of the Federal Central, extract from the Register of Driving Aptitude, extract from the Central Trade and Industry Register, health insurance, …) are available, they can apply for the EU licence.
